My No1 Mascara - Benefit They're Real

As every other girl in the world has said, this mascara is a gift from the gods. Every girl dreams of having eyelashes not only gorgeously long, but, generously thick and curled into the perfect curve. This mascara makes that happen.
I'm one of those people that flits between product to product in the hope I will stumble upon a diamond, and before this, I had lost faith in high street mascara. I had never bought one more than once, constantly disappointed with clumpy thick consistency, or oddly shaped brushes promising long, thick lashes with deep black colour, but instead, they tended to make all my lashes stick together in nearly black, with a clump here and there, just to polish it off. As you can imagine, it's not my favourite look.
'They're real' however, actually does what it says on the tin. I think one of the best things about it, is the brush. It a plastic brush, rather than wire bristles, which as first made me unsure however, it has micro bristles to catch every hair, giving your lashes a thicker and fuller look. It works for every looks, one coat gives you every day, casual lashes, two or more gives you party like there's no tomorrow full look, especially if you've got quite long lashes naturally. Teaming it with false lashes makes the false and the fake blend really well and gives them a more natural look.
You can clearly see a difference when using this stuff, especially with how much darker the lashes are, and that's not something that wears off or fade, this is a very robust long wearing mascara. It does show that sometimes it is worth paying a little more for something of better quality.
I only have a one minor problem with this mascara, every product has them. They're real is incredibly difficult to get off, I understand this is because it is long wearing, and tough and doesn't come off thought the day but I have tried a LOT of things to try and get this stuff off but it just won't budge. I even bought the they're real remover in the hope that Benefit had formulated something that will work but was disappointed to find that this wasn't the case, FIX THIS PLEASE!! Although I complain, even when I'm watching a sad film and shed a few tears, unless I rub, my mascara stays intact! I know I thought this was a miracle too.

Overall I would say that despite the fact that it's hard to get off, this mascara is the best one I've ever used and I would recommend it to anyone. Obviously everyone has their favourites and if there's any others that people think are better feel free to let me know, I LOVE trying new products.

Fave Foundation - Chanel Perfection Lumiere

Although I use mostly high street branded make-up, I wanted to do a quick review on the foundation I am currently using. I think that your foundation/bb cream is one of the most important parts of your make-up routine as it is one of the few things that goes directly on your skin, and is often the cause of break outs and skin irritation. In my opinion, if you are going to spend a little more on something in your cosmetics bag, it should be foundation.
I am currently using the Chanel Perfection Lumiere, in the shade 30 beige. Although it was a little on the pricey side, I have found the results amazing. On the bottle is specifies it is a long wearing foundations and it is just that, it lasts a full day without a primer. It had a smooth matte finish but is in no way a foundation that would dry out your skin. I was especially surprised as I have a very oily T Zone and often find myself powdering every 5 minutes to stop me looking shiny, however, with this foundation I've found I've had to do it much less. Because the foundation is also buildable, it means any redness in the cheeks or other blemishes can be covered without the foundation being cakey.
Also, this may seem strange to some people but I love the fact it has a pump. Many high end foundations don't have one, which personally I think is just stupid, it causes a lot of waste and mess, and when your spending more than you usually would, they are two things you want to avoid.
To apply, I usually wipe around two pumps worth all over my face with the Real Technique's Expert Face Brush, and then use the Real Techniques Beauty Blender to buff and blend it into my skin. In areas I need slightly higher coverage I just put a bit more on the sponge and dab it in the area I need to cover until it blends.Overall, I would recommend this foundation to anyone with combination skin, because that is nearly everyone! its one of the best foundations I've ever used and everyone I've spoken to who has used it, has had similar experiences.

first post so hope this is helpful
